Watch and battery repair

If your watch has stopped keeping time it is usually one of a few things: a dead battery, a movement that wants cleaning, or magnetism it picked up from something on your desk or in your bag. We can tell you which one it is.

A gold wristwatch on a leather strap opened at the bench, its caseback lying beside it and a fresh cell and tweezers ready next to the exposed movement.

The work

Battery replacement, cleaning, sizing and maintenance — for the watch you wear daily and the one you inherited.

The bench is equipped for the routine and the delicate alike — battery replacement, complete maintenance and cleaning, polishing and light refinishing, water-resistance maintenance after a case has been opened, de-magnetizing, and strap or bracelet sizing. Engraving can be done on the same visit.

The brand list we service runs to several hundred names, from quartz fashion watches to Swiss mechanical movements, and heirloom pieces are welcome. If you are not sure whether yours is on it, call and ask before you come in.
