Jewelry repair

Fine jewelry repair is mostly patience and a steady hand with the right equipment behind it. Rings get resized and re-shanked, prongs get re-tipped before a stone goes missing, chains and clasps get rebuilt, pearls get restrung.

A jeweller measuring a ring with a caliper at a bench laid out with files, pliers and hand tools.

The work

Sizing, soldering, stone setting, restringing and refinishing for rings, chains, bracelets, earrings and pearls.

Jewelers are on staff six days a week, and a good share of the work is done while you wait rather than sent away for weeks. Bring the piece in and we will look at it with you first.

We also test what you bring us: a range of equipment for checking whether a diamond is what it is said to be, and gold grading, silver and platinum testing on the metal side.

If a piece is past repairing, or you would rather begin again with the stones from something you no longer wear, we take on custom design work too.
